American Girl Doll Giveaway!!!

cost of the dossier but immediately after that we will sign

A Little Update!!

I know it’s been awhile since I posted on here…sorry!  Life has just been crazy…We decided to close my store, The Brown Box!  My heart just isn’t there anymore…different season of life.  I believe that God is calling me to stay home again.  I am thrilled…can’t wait to spend quality time with the boys and then when our daughter arrives I won’t have to juggle the store and time with her.  So doing that has taken a lot of my time…we will be completely closed next week…yippee~!! 

Two weekends ago we had our Lil’ Buckaroo BBQ benefit dinner.  It was a huge success.  We raised around $4500.00 to be split between the three families.   We were so thrilled.  It was so much fun and we felt so loved.

We are deep into application two…we are hoping to get it into the mail around the first of June.  Once we send it off, they will schedule are fingerprint appointment and home study.  We are getting closer everyday. Please keep praying for our baby girl and us.

Adoption BBQ Dinner Benefit!!

I am THRILLED to finally post about our newest fundraiser!  We, with 2 other families, are hosting a benefit dinner to help raise money for our adoptions.  We are still working out all the particulars but are hoping to make this event not just about raising money to bring our children home, but also raising awareness to the orphan crisis in our world. We have the tickets ready to sell and are working hard to get everything ready for the event. 

The dinner will be Saturday, April 30, 2011.  We will start serving a bbq dinner at 5pm and will also have a silent auction.    In addition to the dinner and silent auction, there will be music, door prizes, some guest speakers, videos, and more!  Of course the theme is cowboys/cowgirls so we encourage everyone to dress accordingly although it is not required.  It will be fun for the whole family and kids 3 and under eat free!
You can buy tickets directly on our blogs through the PayPal link posted off to the side or just email one of us or post on our blogs and we will see that you get your tickets.  $15.00 for adults, $5.00 for children over 3 and 3 and under eat free.  You can also purchase your tickets at The Brown Box!!

Later this week I will post a little bio about each family so you can get to know them better!  We are so excited to be doing this fundraiser with such awesome people and can’t wait for these beautiful families to bring their children home!!!

Gratitude

WOW!!!  Not only did you buy shirts...you went above and beyond...we are truly grateful!!! We adore each and everyone of you and are so thankful that our daughter is already loved by you!!!

T-Shirt Mania!!!

We are so excited…We have our adoption t-shirts done and ready to order to raise money for our baby girl.  We are going to do a t-shirt blitz for the next two weeks (Ending March 5th).  Our first goal is to sell 250 shirts…selling this amount would put us in a place where we could start the adoption process.

  

We have 2 different designs, one for women and men ($25.00 each). Both designs can be ordered in youth sizes($20.00).  Also, the women’s t-shirt can be ordered in a slim or regular t-shirt cut. Women's slim fits like a junior cut shirt. Make sure you order 1-2 sizes bigger.(If a medium  slim cut shirt fits you tight order 2 sizes up...if a medium fits you regular order one size up)

 If you would like to buy a shirt refer to the right hand side of the blog.  Please take note of the add to cart buttons …one button will be for Ada orders, who will not have shipping charges…the other set is for everyone ordering out of town.  If you have any problems please let me know and we will take care of it.

Two New Bracelets!!

We just received two new "Believe in the Power" bracelets!!!  They are so pretty and colorful...they remind me of summer!!!  The other bracelets were so popular...yippee....I know these will be too!  Again, thank you for all the support...we love you and can't wait to bring our baby girl home!

Empower Your Beliefs!!!

We have some new adult bracelets that we've added to our fundraising section.  They are power bracelets crafted of Ceramic, Crystal Beads, and Rhodium with 18K Gold-Plated accents.  From each bracelet dangles a charm.  They are super cool!!!  They are selling for $18 each and can be bought on the blog or in The Brown Box!!!  Below is a picture of each bracelet and on the reverse side of the Charm they each say believe in the power of....

All proceeds from these bracelets go towards the adoption of our baby girl!!!

How Can I Help?

Since we have made the "Announcement", we have had many friends and family ask, "How Can I Help?"  So I thought I would take a moment to let you know!!!  First of all...Thank you for being so supportive!  It means the world to us when you write such kind words about us, our family, and this adoption.  We feel so loved and are humbled by your expressions!

The most important way you could help is prayer.  Ty and I truly believe that God is calling us to adopt this child and we want His complete guidance. Pray for our boys...that this experience will show them God's love like no other.  Also pray for our princess...that she will be healthy and strong.  Pray for the birth mom...that she may feel God's love and believe that giving her child to another family is the ultimate sacrifice of love.

The second way you could help is donating to our adoption.  If you read from our post yesterday…it will cost between $24,000 to $30,000.  For us to even start the process we need about half.  So with that being said…we are going to be selling items and doing some fun things so that we can bring our princess to Oklahoma.  At The Brown Box, we will have a special section…anything bought from that area will go towards the adoption.  If you don’t live in Ada and want to contribute…we will be adding items to the blog to sell.  If you will notice (the left side column)…today we have some darling children’s bracelets.  These are braided bracelets crafted of rhodium and cotton cord…they are very playful and would make the perfect gift for a special young lady!!!  We have the adoption store set up through PayPal, which is a very safe way to shop on the Internet. But if Internet shopping isn’t your thing…just give me a call at the store (580) 421-9446 and I can take care of your order that way too.
